Dawn has Begun

The dawn has begun

another beating

for a broken soul

Her heart clings to

a happier time.

When the sun was

Bright!

and her life was

Alright!

Somehow she can never

Run Away!

She can't destroy all the pain

She can't make his anger sway

She can't seem to stay sane.

Not with all the wounds

She has to hide from

this lonely world

Darkness consumes

a lovely

torn!

Angel

and her skin

Bleeds!

And her soul

Screams!

For a happier time

Great imagery again. Very Good write. I like the use of breaks in lines. A few seemed to stagger or break any flow to the reading. Not sure if that was intentional.
