The PeopleA Poem by Miss. Smith
The people stare,
And the people don't care, So stand up before the world, Let the people stare. The people look them in the eye, And the people watch them die, So stand up before the world, Don't let the people hold their heads up high. The people don't believe us, And the people will never believe us, So stand up before the world, Let the people be your witness. Find our place upon this earth, Know that our words hold worth, So stand up before the world, Let the people watch us give life to this old earth.
