Profusion

Profusion

A Poem by The River Man

Relax back to those thoughts
Lean back and remember
With inertia granted as a tail
Divulged unto the masses
Refined through time
And out into the swirling time winder
A wanderer shall emerge
And ricochet from within
Out into the desert worlds
Where a slow peak shall be reached
With a steady decline
Absolute truth
After a headache
Gone

Wrong
Raining early
Overcasting shadows
Flooding the streets
Those with hope don’t float
Over the deathlike skyline
Downtown bound
You’ll find a friend
In the stasis
Where time stands still
And all falls upon dull senses
With a certain mental malaise
They lurch forward at a steady pace
With an unusual grace

Very interesting piece. Some quite surprising word choices, to challenge the reader and make them think. Very nice write.
