We dug our own graves Our hands on our shovels, Dug right through the ground Our final resting place Then we rest and we sit On crevices jutting out For we only have dug a portion Of our grave, The shells came and blew us into the ground The trenches collapse, unfinished on us Didn't I tell you? ’We dug our own graves
