We dug our own graves
Our hands on our shovels,
 Dug right through the ground
 Our final resting place
Then we rest and we sit
 On crevices jutting out
For we only have dug a portion
Of our grave,
The shells came and blew
us into the ground
The trenches collapse, unfinished
on us
 Didn't I tell you?
We dug our own graves
