It's hard to be certain these days
that the emotions I could have harbored still stay
within my heart for you

A situation I am in
made complicated through my past sin
and between you and I, nothing was ever easy..

As things clear up they become ever strange
and it seems you try to test my emotion's range
but never your own, my love...

For many times have I fell
and you, I will willingly tell
never tried to retrieve me, against all you say..
