Surviving YouA Poem by Lily NicholsA poem about bullying.
A walk past you
Should mean nothing Yet as my stride quickens You find something to say Anything you can say that will weaken me Everything you say is abuse When I try to make friends You come up with an excuse And I must spend more of my time Surviving you. As I show up less and less Not a word is uttered about me Nothing good, at least My life means nothing, you always said They're just jealous, is what I got for comfort But guess who I believed? As I write down my thoughts Of leaving this life I think of all the time I spent Surviving you. © 2013 Lily Nichols |
