Endure

Endure

A Poem by Jay

The water falls upon nature’s floor

Birds who sang now hide in refuge

The wind knocks on their hollow door

Sturdy houses to defy the barrages of nature

Constructed by itself- it endures

Exceeding the grasp of all its children

No matter the glamor it lures

Mankind fell into material Winter

Their legacy of lordship now ash

Creations of mastery broken to splinters

Yet Nature moves on and survives.
