In the rain

Just a little something I was thinking about

As I stand
While the rain falls down
Cold and harsh
Yet comforting somehow
I know the end is near
Even though
I still hold dear
To a relationship
Doomed to fail
Here I stand
As the rain falls down
Looking out
At the cold grey sky
And the blue grey lake
That has waves from
The harsh rain
It is comforting
But I feel the same
