What love can really do......

You’ve become my savior, my guiding light

It is for you that I am inspired to fight

I see all that is right in your face and your eyes

You brought me your soul with mine near demise

I have been revived, new life in my veins

Now I feel protected from the heaviest rains

And you’ve suffered your pains, but you became brave

By opening your heart to me, you gave

Me a purpose in life, from the grave I have risen

To ease your own burdens and clear your own vision

You provide what I’m missing, and I hoped to return

The favor by extinguishing the flames that have burned

The soul that yet yearns for liberation from pain

I have found the reason my existence remains

Your love in vain shall never be taken

As I pray my love for you is never forsaken

You kept my heart from breaking, so I also must heal

The wounds that your trials of your life have revealed

I’m indebted.  I feel you were placed in my path

To keep me from feeling my own psyche’s wrath.

I’ll give all that I have for a forever to be

For the love within you will rescue me.
