I.

I.

A Poem by Cameron Mair

I live my life and enjoy every instant. Unique

Whether for better or worse,

In happiness I become occupied.

In my eyes I see life as a gift,

For everyone it should be enjoyable.

When I try for the friendship of another,

I do not worry if they refuse.

I will not alter for them,

And they should not change for me.

Through my young life I have learned,

That we should care for each other.

The whole reason we exist,

Is to pursue our dreams and die satisfied.

Keep your loved ones close,

Yet show strangers a sense of friendship.

Everyone is diverse and has taken a different path.

Their life may have been cruel and heartless,

But I can show them a home.

For home is wherever there is kindness.

I look towards happiness and love,

The ultimate achievements in life.

Yet helping others is always put before myself,

Too many people already ignore another’s troubles.

It’s important to live life,

There’s plenty of time to be dead.
