Belief

Belief

A Poem by Antichrist

Can't believe your eyes?
What I can't perceive...
Somehow, I let it go,
All that I believe.

Pain has come and gone,
Like a shadowed blade.
Do you have the time
to prevent my fade?

But time keeps going away,
I can't bring you back,
Now that I have gone,
and confidence, I lack.

I have become estranged,
Fearful and dull,
Nothing, I feel...
All my thoughts are null.

No more hate,
Not even love,
No feelings inside,
Only a lack thereof.

I see the pain,
But I do not comply.
This is all a dream,
an ambition, a lie.

Now, believe your eyes,
And what you see,
I'm on my knees,
There's nothing left of me...

The line I like the most is "like a shadowed blade." I like the sound of that among all the images that I already get from the title alone. And I especially like the ending "I'm on my knees, There's nothing left of me..."

A beautiful write. The last stanza:

"Now, believe your eyes,
And what you see,
I'm on my knees,
There's nothing left of me..."

gave me chills. Great work and keep it up! :)
