Serenity

Serenity

A Poem by Antichrist

In the serenity of my own mind, I found the man I called God

Was He the man I was looking for?
I was too unsure of myself, let alone this being within me
Should I live, or should I die?
He, and only He, knew the answers.

In the serenity of my own mind, I found myself

Wishing upon a star
Alas, an answer to all of my prayers.
Silence and peace forevermore.

Deemed unworthy by my own fate
Eaten away by time and this world we call "Earth"
Aged only by the passing of events we call "Nature"
Deemed unworthy by you.
