Overgrown

Overgrown

A Poem by Antichrist

This world is overgrown.
This world is overgrown.
This world is overgrown.
This world is overgrown.

I remember when you were just a broken heart
A faint grimace on a blank white page
I squirmed inside, like worm and grabbed your soul
pulled it out and took a bite to assuage.

Now I’m just a shadow of my former self
A f*****g homage to what I used to be!
The crack in the mirror shows a broken mind
Now you hate everything that you see!

You used to think you knew me…
Now you know what you are.
You used to think you knew me…
But now you only know that I’m a scar

You used to host pain and hatred, but you’ve become too bored
You killed everything that was good about me
I cut up, spread out, and snorted in my meals
Now I watch you sick up everything I used to be

I used to be a hater
Now you are much too old.
I used to be a fighter
Now you are much too old.

Why did I become you
Why did I become you
Why did I become you
Now please let me starve
