Broken Glass

Broken Glass

A Poem by Lawrence Brown

I see many lost dreams scattered across streets.
As souls are darkened by lost lights and days that's cold.

Bare feet children playing on broken glass.
Bare feet children playing on broken glass.

Lights will alight many minds, if time finds the right minds to light.
And those same burning souls, will one day gain warmth, to ease their cold bones.

Bare feet children playing on broken glass.
Bare feet children playing on broken glass.

Can any really stand as demands, dance across their daily plans.
And who is really ready to stand up to all those troublesome demands.

Who is helping the Bare feet children playing on broken glass.

When you see them, do you look, and walk right on past?

Hello!
I feel as though this would do well as a song, and thinking of the pacing of it really has me haha
This is an extremely world-aware poem, and I seriously applaud that.
