Can I Be A ChristianA Poem by Lawrence Brown
Can I be a Christian.
People believe what they want, being judgemental, picking sides and ousting others, while silently laughing ,being holy but not really being holy. Can I be Christian. Been down this road before with the world's judgements in my face every time I leave the door. I see your fake smiles, coughs and hateful looks. Your purse clutching, whispers and eyes that would kill me if you could. Can I be a Christian. Then I have people in my face that call me a liar, while despising me not thinking I can see their hateful looks. Can I be a Christian. Serving God hating the villain. Oh wait I'm the villain, Satan's spawn that the city abhors that want me buried in a cemetery without a life to breathe. Can I be a Christian If you want me dead or afraid to work and afraid to shop unable to even walk down the street without the hassling of my soul by cars riding down the street. But he's a Christian Think again while the land demands my head served on a platter to please a cold societies hands. My Christian friends... Truth is I love God my friends, but I'm not even allowed to be a Christian.... © 2015 Lawrence BrownAuthor's Note
