Sea of GlassA Story by TheWritingWriterA description of the sea within a picture frame.I stare into the distance at the sea of glass lingering under the moonlight. The stars provide the only necessary light in order to enjoy this image. The shores and seashells act as the frame of this enormous canvas that acts as the decoration which prevents the waters from overflowing. I see Dolphins in the distance shattering the glass that was stagnant for as long as I had been there. Waves and currents are now in motion that cause ripples in the glass"chaos. The waves crash into the frame"sucking in the boarders that contain it. I hear the sounds of glass breaking and feel the sprinkles of sharp shards against my cheek. For a moment, I never think the chaos will stop"and then it does. It returns to the stagnant, immobile layer of glass it once was when I arrived. A beautiful canvas. © 2014 TheWritingWriter |
