The Awaited Agony : Beauty and the Beast A Gothic EtymologyA Poem by The Winter Poet
‘’ Sprouted upfront in a flaw I breathe,
Chains dwell whispering friction… A midst of flesh, the marrow weak, A copper armor aged to distinction…” Awaited, in patience the petal wept, Blistering usher in a frozen extent…. Slitting past the blossom a tear crept, The withered land, impatience pretends …. Torn ‘Neath a rubble of vengeance, The blade of slumber bruised its heart… Chants of agony in sheer diligence, The worm crept naked upon the bark… Figments of a dream bruised to applaud, Asleep in a reverie the villager snarled… Scouring the claw raping the flesh apart, Trembled in agony life sped disarmed….. The meat melted torn ’Neath the linen, In a spree its eye shot a chanted glimpse… Christened with flowers in a moon’s prism, Stung to a dream she shivered a hymn… Lost for the moment in a charm it drooled, Seek what is desired, may it be a grim… Stench of the kill, painted the meat all nude, Blood with the moon shined akin… Sour was the lust spilled on a page of stains, The pupil strolled to seek a glitch of taint… The haze bled to an urge for a golden grain, Fear slit the symphony of awaken vain…. A hum of anxiety frayed in the vein of a mule The steal was written in elixir for the pledge… The steed sped naked as her moan fed the dew, A chant frayed the death of cupid on the hedge The gates slit apart in a paradox of lunacy The lantern drooled upon the brittle wrath... The alter murmured in a lust-stung odyssey An angle wept naked upon a maggot’s trap…… ‘’why forsake this night’’. Plead in a shiver did she, ‘’why forsake this night, o’ wretched beast’’… ’’Worthy am I of such torment, 0’ judge my plea’’ ‘’why forsake this night, 0’ wretched beast’’….. © 2010 The Winter Poet |
