I Want To See You Naked.

I Want To See You Naked.

A Poem by Falling Leaf.

I want to see you without that band t-shirt.

I want to strip your ripped jeans away,

Your layers of cotton and denim,

Those tattered shoes that have seen

Years, and miles.

I want to see past your pale, satiny skin,

Past the curtains you draw over those glacier eyes,

Past the blood rushing in your veins,

Past even your bones.

I want to see you naked.

Where the paint blends and new colors emerge,

Where the borders are pushed back and back and

Over the edge,

Shattering at the bottom so

All of the lines fade away,

All of the walls come crumbling down.

You’re a pond whose surface is glass,

I want to dive in and shatter the peace,

To rise with your thoughts cascading off

My skin like tiny teardrop diamonds,

To be wrapped up tight in the velvet robe of your soul,

To be tattooed with your love.

I want to sand away the layers of time and pain,

The shield that keeps the chips from turning into

Cracks that would turn into

Pieces.

You would be safe with me.

I want to see you naked.

Shadowy tendrils sweep at my ankles from

The darkest corners of your mind as I

Tread deeper and deeper into those winding hallways,

But even with bruised knees and eyes tired from searching, I

Open door after door until

The light of your soul dazzles my heart,

Melts it like a chocolate candy held

As a secret between your lips.

The darkness is frightening but I follow the glow of your moon,

So I want to see you naked.

I want to see the faults, the beauties,

The oddities and the imperfections.

You’re full of pearls, so open up the shell.

We weave a skin of false securities,

Because the biggest lies in the world are

We’ve grown up,

We don’t get hurt,

We aren’t afraid.

I’ll take off my mask, if you take off yours,

Show the raw emotion beneath all the

Leather, lace, confidence, lies.

Take off your clothes, take off your skin.

I want to see you naked.

You have redefined naked for me.
You have also redefined imagery for me.
I love the line:
"The light of your soul dazzles my heart,

Melts it like a chocolate candy held

As a secret between your lips. "
Keep reaching for those vivid images. Thank you.
