Love Letters.A Poem by Falling Leaf.Dip your fingers in an ink made of flames. Calligraphy across the blushing terrain of my back, Dancing like fiery tunnels of wind along my shoulders, You send ignited tidal waves up my spine, Crashing over my head to the time of Our racing hearts. Why are your lips saturated with The sweetest strawberry wine, And why have I become addicted? Why are you the only anchor strong enough To render me motionless, when I have been Perpetually following a current to nowhere? I am a pool of gasoline, and you a stray cigarette Just the briefest of kisses can reduce this world to Ash and smoke. We are the most gorgeous form of dangerous, You're a torch always hungry for fuel, and I'm Begging you to warm me up. Your eyes are aflame… Is it a reflection of my own, Or are you on fire, too? Are you going to stand by and watch me burn, Or will you join me in the flames until We feel nothing but the heat between us, Until we forget how it feels To be frozen? You trace your name in searing cursive along my body, Don't whisper your lover letters to me Write them from my neck to my hips with The sparks that shoot from your fingers Until plumes of smoke rise from the pores in my skin, Until we are not gas and flame, but one blinding explosion One core of blazing heat, one rippling ignition that Melts the ice in our hearts, Until we hear them beating, Until we feel the blood in our veins again. © 2015 Falling Leaf.Author's Note
