Serenity.A Poem by Falling Leaf.
The winds within have granted me
A blissful and past due serenity. Skies begin to blush and the gray Is finally chased from my mournful eyes. Locked internal doors open Draw back the curtains and let in A warm summer breath, I am floating on the surface of Motionless and mirrored water, Feeling the sun on my skin. Eyes closed. Mind poised like a dancer on one toe. Sssssslllllip into the recesses of my soul Dig for an epiphany and find beauty In solitude. Light filters through dusty windows Landing on a pale face and shadowed corners, Bringing high noon to an endless midnight. Silence, motionlessness, A pure and brilliant peace, Where the gales have stopped wailing And I can finally hear the music, Where the rain has stopped pouring And I am warm again. Center gravity upon my own core, Erect not walls around myself but Gossamer curtains, I observe the world but remain happily Lost in my innermost thoughts. Absolute tranquility and Sitting still as a tower of stones. Nourish the gardens of the heart, Tend to the orchards of the mind. I will take my spirit's hand and Follow it deeper into my own skies. © 2015 Falling Leaf.Reviews
