Shots of electricity straight to the bones. Teeth sunk deep in life and Never letting go. Heart of steel and Boundless courage.
In these days, The freedom days, We are all eagles, Royalty of the sky. We are all iron stallions, Tearing though the plains, Nostrils flared and eyes full of fire, Making the ground tremble,
Goliath bravery and staring fear Hard in the face, Lips pulled back, Daring.
In these days, The domination days, Nothing is fleeting and We will never die.
When the smoke is too dense For us to see, Still there is no road behind, Only forward. We will come running, Rushing, Charging!
Storming the rocky mountain path Even though the end is beyond our sight.
These days, The days of truth, valor, and spirit, These are the days of heroes. These are our days, And we will sooner see ourselves perish Before the freedom days ever will.
I liked the poem. Especially the ending.
"These days,
The days of truth, valor, and spirit,
These are the days of heroes.
These are our days,
And we will sooner see ourselves perish
Before the freedom days ever will. "
Freedom is worth fighting for. One day of no freedom than you wold learn the value of being free. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You wanted this poem to be powerful, and oh my goodness and gravy and biscuits(and mashed potatoes and lasagna) it is powerful. You made some pretty good comparisons and have some great imagery in this piece. You have most definately succeeded here! :)
This speaks to me of the fire of youthful conviction. The promises we made to ourselves that we never let "this" go, that we would be invincible, that our ideals would hold fast. It almost makes me want to see this a part one of a three to four part series.
It is a fairly strong reminder of who we wanted to be, who we are, and who we could yet become, should we keep that fire burning.
The power you desired this poem to elicit speaks loudly and clearly, like an iron stallion, nostrils flared. This is such a nice piece because it can be about so many things: today, back in Civil War times, Revolutionary War, or the days of the Civil Rights struggles. As Richard says below, your descriptive senses resonate with a symphonic clarity, a strong emotional base. I rate this a 95 because I don't do 100. Very well done. take care...dan
it is powerful, your descriptive work is outstanding and the fire inside burns without abating, this whole work of art is worthy of a place among the top poetry ever, very well done :)
No matter what, we must fight! I definitely do get a strong sense of power from this poem. It seems all to easy to give up but some of us enjoy a life full of challenges, a great write :)
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.
I love to write and I love to review. Send me requests and I'll leave you my thoughts. I would hope that you'd do the same for me.
