Two B*****s and a Gun

Two B*****s and a Gun

A Poem by Falling Leaf.

I’m a wreck, I confess.

Look into my eyes and you’ll see a storm that never ceases.

Stand back so you don’t get drenched.

Come too close and these winds will whip you into next week.

But your eyes… Your eyes. Dreadful mirror eyes.

All you see is yourself, and all you do is highlight my flaws.

The beautiful irony, the grand joke,

the twisted sarcastic knee-slapper?

You’re blind to your own ugliness,

Miss Mirror Eyes.

You sit atop a throne of bones,

your conquests kissing your feet.

You’re a drop of poison slithering,

burning,

creeping its way down my throat.

You’re thousands of needles

being slowly driven into my skin.

Your voice grates my ears

like sandpaper on a sunburn.

(shut up shut up shut up)

This dam has shattered.

This fuse has reached its end.

The sirens are wailing out their warnings.

I am ready to explode.

Explode

Explode

Explode!

I think you could use a steel kiss upon your temple.

Take a long look into this glistening eye.

I am sick of that crown of perfect blonde hair.

I always thought you would look better as a redhead.

Murder is a crime, they say,

but at least I would go down in history

as the girl who finally outdrew you.

i am stunned by the excellent metaphor in this...the story is terrific---
again that ego thing---but there is always someone who can come along and knock our block off, so we need to get off our high horse....there is also someone who can come along and outdraw us.

i really like your poetry...

I like this. It definitely reminded me of some past relationships. I think there are parts that could flow a little better. But I really like it.

Personally, I love dark.
This was a beautiful portrayal of anger, which is not always an easy feat to accomplish.
I thought the line "I think you could use a steel kiss upon your temple" rather stunning,
as it perfectly combined romanticism, tenderness and hatred.
Loved it!
Nice work!

I really like how you worded things. You made it where people can see what they want.

Very dark and twisted but well written.
Better on paper, makes for a good story.

dark indeed! scary! .. the rant goes to the edge and draws back (a good thing) rants can become boring with the overuse of the "You" factor .. but i think like i said that you drew back at the right time and changed it up in the second to last verse .. i think the two women engaged in this catfight gone slightly psychotic is very interesting .. lots of dynamics one can not touch on when it is opposite sexes .. very interesting says i! and the looking in the mirror adds a hint that this might just be a soliloquy of self hate and doubt .. but perhaps i dig too deep .. ;) thought provoking .. glad you shared this!

Very angry write. Better to get it out in prose than in reality…

A lot of anger is expressed in this poem, and that anger is the soul of this poetry.
I liked reading it. Thank you for sharing...:)

An angry woman is as fierce as a lioness, that's what the ancient say. I could picture the whole drama from the beginning to the end.
Interesting.
