FloodA Chapter by ClockTowerKeeperIt was lonely.
This tune that carried itself through this empty street. This random, empty street that seemed frozen in time. Everything, utterly lacked movement. It seemed unnatural.. What happened? What caused even time to lack effort and cause this place to stay shrouded under the moon and rocks? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It started to storm, so suddenly. Music notes were everywhere. They littered the roads, rammed into the sides of desolate businesses and homes. Some flown through windows, shattered fragments decorated the floors. One G note collided with a street lamp, made the once cemented in place, industrial light, topple like some simple game of Jenga. Rhythmic beats cascaded down the gutters, over flowering the streets sewer lines. Man hole lids shot into the air, notes bubbling back into the street surface. It was an epidemic. Just as cars that were abandoned began to get carried away by the flow, something natural broke through. Beams of gold sliced the starry night scene. The biggest star finally made an appearance. Dawn broke through, starting where time stopped. The silence, had finally lifted. © 2016 ClockTowerKeeper |
