Bubbles

Bubbles

A Poem by The Villain
"

A rather humorous piece about having to fill those stupid scantron tests out in school. :D

"
Bubbles.
Five bubbles per row
Twenty-five rows per column
Two columns per side
Two side's per page
Two pages per test
Fourteen tests per year
Four years
until we never have to
glaze the middle of those
cursed bubbles ever again.

With their gentle
yet dull
and somehow
piercing blue color
they seem to drone
a montra
right in your ears
and all through your head
"No. 2 Pencil Only Please."

As if you've ever seen
any other numbered pencil
in your entire life.
And who do they think they are?
All standing prominently
in front of you
saluting
and presenting
their officiality
when only one
is correct.
Oh their sick, shifty eyes
developing ways
of tricking you
into filling A instead of B
B instead of E
C instead of A
and soon the entire page
is just a huge picture
made of various bubbles
and all you ever wanted
was to pop
each
and every
one.
