Woody, My Guitar

Woody, My Guitar

A Poem by The Villain
"

A poem dedicated to Woody Guthrie, a wonderful person and a personal hero of mine.

"
Why do we kill people
to show people
that killing people
is wrong?
Why do we start every day
with good morning
and end it with
good-bye?
I want my sky back
I want the blue to trickle down
and paint my heart.
I want my pay check
and I don't want remarks
I want peace
and I want you
and me
and everyone
I want the cogs to turn
as the gas inspires
the engine to work
and the pistons to fire
I want a machine
that inspires peace.
I want a machine
that kills fascists.
