Infinity Visualised

Infinity Visualised

A Poem by TheUnrulyWriter
"

Thoughts on how to enjoy the present while still keeping the future in mind.

"
With closed eyes
I see darkness
I know what's there:
Nothing

With open eyes
The light gets in
I see everything
That will be gone

I, myself,
Prefer to squint
So I can see the darkness
In our lives

Author's Note

TheUnrulyWriter
Inspired by an article I read about Lord Shiva. It was about how light travels fast and is a temporary state, but darkness stays after the light leaves. So, instead of being overcome by shiny, bright, and temporary things in life, we should focus on what happens after all of that leaves. Of course, I'm not saying we shouldn't enjoy the fun shiny things at all, just keep the darkness in mind :)
