Rotting

Rotting

A Poem by TheUnrulyWriter

Maybe I’m just rotting

Maybe I don’t care

But this isn’t what he meant

By flowers in her hair

I’ve gone to California

I’ve been the universe

Now I’ll be here in the world

For better or for worse

The stars are in my eyes

The worms are in my hair

The dirt is in my nails

The rain is in my tears

But maybe I’m just rotting
