Dear Old Heavens

Dear Old Heavens

A Poem by TheUnrulyWriter

Dear old heavens,

Why’d you do it like that?

Like she deserved it

Which she did

But no seconds chances?

No second thoughts?

Have all her rain dances

Been for but naught?

Sure, she raised hell

Once upon a time

Back when the sea still shone red

From the blood of God’s enemies

But that was lifetimes ago

When Gods were still feared

Before angels had changed

And demons did too
