Faerie People

Faerie People

A Poem by TheUnrulyWriter

Here I am
On a bed of leaves
Call me silly
With spiders in my hair

My bosom in the dirt
My feet in the water
Is it starting again?
Or trying it over?

Looking at me
Like I don't belong
Where are you?
In your grave?

Take one more look
We're no more than faeries
Tricky and dangerous
Unreal

I loved this quirky little poem. Romance often feels superficial or sometimes unreal. But then again, it can blur the lines of reality. Nicely penned.
