Wise Man

Wise Man

A Poem by TheUnforgivinFallenAngel

A wise man once said
Love isnt worth it
Live alone
And you will always be happy

A wise man once foretold
A story of love
Being together
And staying happy

A wise man once saw
A lovers true bliss
With a simple kiss
Sealing their souls

This wise man was once me
Seeking the answers
To give
To all that listened

But now lies
The question
That this wise man
Can not answer

A wise man once said
Love is a lie
But did that wise man
Listen to what a wise man once said?

Enjoyable piece. Especially the last stanza that questions the 'wise man'. It is also quite straightforward and to the point without anything hanging around that just commands its expression. Good job.

Hahaha i love that ending line with that question... clever in a way as well as humorous. Really nice, enjoyed.

Chuckle, chuckle...You got me good with that last verse. THAT'S right! This wise woman didn't listen either.
