AgingA Poem by TheUnforgivinFallenAngel
Down the path of darkness
you can feel the pain sink in. Not sure where you started, not sure where you've been. It shouldn't be much longer now before the shadow shines its' light, you search yourself for answers but never get it right. Your daybreak has turned to ash and the night wind blew your dream away, now you see that life is all just pieces, on your soul the darkness preys. It's so wrong to feel this way on your soul the darkness preys. You try to hide behind a pillar of lies hoping the dark will never see the truth you hold inside of you but you can't seem to set it free. From the screams of shame the hearts' to blame for the body has grown so cold. There is a constant pain that flows through your veins When did you get so old? Your daybreak has turned to ash and the night wind blew your dream away. It's the empty mind that wonders on your soul the darkness preys. From the path of light you dare not stray on your soul the darkness preys. Waiting in line for Heaven because you were turned away from Hell, in between you fear the sorrow but there's no one there to tell. As the night wind blows your dream away and your daybreak turns to ash, you feel the darkness closing in and your life has gone too fast. You reach for what you thought was real only to find the nights' broken seal, in a pit of despair where the soul lays is where the darkness preys. © 2011 TheUnforgivinFallenAngel |
