Last Tear

Last Tear

A Poem by TheUnforgivinFallenAngel

After the last rain drop falls
And my last tear is shed
It seeps deep into the tired earth

Moisture craved soil sprouts to life,
Growing up my legs toward the suns light
Blossoming fragrant red flowers,
Flowers that grow from it's stem.

I begin to change, evlove
I am no loner human,
Instead I have become a plant with a human heart
Bearing fruit for gossiping birds -
And pollen hungry bugs of the forest

I allow soft wind to caress my leaves,
Cradling me from side to side
Freeing my branches -
Sending them hurling into the crisp spring sky
Releasing my hope of eternal innocence

I release my pollen into the atmosphere
It soars with a twirl through the sky
Skimming past fellow trees
Teasing them with my offer of fertility
Comming to a rest upon a perfect bloom

A bloom that cries
Yes, I will allow you to grow strong and free
Yes, I will allow you bend freely in the breeze
Yes, you are always welcome to be!

'A bloom that cries ' That image was, in my opinion, the strongest throughout. Beautiful and sad, and perfectly written as usual. Well done :)
