The Death Inside

The Death Inside

A Poem by TheUnforgivinFallenAngel

Once there was an angel sighing,
I made her feel like she was flying,
But now I see the feelings were lying,
And deep inside my soul is dying.
Waterfalls of tears I'm crying,
No more will to keep on trying,
No longer will I keep denying.
I am a knight,
But not of light,
I should've kept my heart from sight,
But now it's gone and taken flight.
I feel I'm cursed to wander the night,
I should've known I wasn't right,
But all too late as my heart and soul have died tonight.

A stark and beguiling sense of emotion and Platonism, well done, great write.

'I am a knight,/ But not of light,/ I should've kept my heart from sight,'
These lines really grabbed me, and reminded me of how much people get hurt by an emotion as sweet and pure as love. Well written :)
