My struggle to have you

My struggle to have you

A Poem by TheUnforgivinFallenAngel

I lie here,
curled up under my sheets,
longing to feel your touch
move all over my quivering body.
You drive me crazy.
Screaming out your name
I trick myself that somehow you are able to hear.
I want you here
at my side.
giving me the strength
to fight my disease
that has swallowed my soul
and left it dry.
I need to hear your voice
ring in my ear
to get rid of the voices
that have been calling out to me.
I need you to make me feel
what everyone should be able to feel...
alive.

This reminds me a little of Sonnet 147 by Shakespeare, in that the poet voice is dependent on his love to cure his metaphorical sickness, although she is the one who has caused it. The difference is, in your one, you resolve that the object of your affections is the only thing that will pull you through, and there is a real sense of pure love here.
