Don't Kill The Good in MeA Poem by Dyutiparna Karmakar
Don't kill the good in me,
Or I'll dance in the periphery of the caves That possess the evil, And I'll give up all my goodness To the rivers carrying it somewhere Far, But you'll see nothing, Just a blank expression, But inside me My capillaries will cook poison Drowning my every remaining bit. I'll fight with imaginary warriors Ready to separate my head from the body, I'll be wounded in my Cheeks and arms and breasts, But you'll see nothing Just a blank expression; But inside me My minds will grow fruits That you'd pluck and eat and die. My eyes will radiate fire constantly, And rage will be so contagious That men will forget kindness; But you'll see nothing Just a blank expression, But inside me I'll multiply my laugh With all the wickedness present in the hell. Don't kill the good in me. © 2017 Dyutiparna Karmakar |
