Lessons Learned (pt.1)

Megan Nicole taught me to consider myself Beautiful,

and that that's how guys should address me as well.

Gym Class Heroes taught me the beat to my very heart,

helping turn up the volume on my inner Stereo Hearts.

Rihanna told me I should be his Only Girl (In The World),

I know that he can only have me as his one and only girl.

Taylor Swift told me a fairy tale about a cute Love Story,

a Romeo and Juliet fairy tale I wanted to live so badly.

Katy Perry made me realize the reality of my Teenage Dream,

it just felt so right to dream this beautiful make-believe.

Boys Like Girls made me realize Two Is Better Than One,

but to find the right one is the best of any kind of fortune.

Destiny's Child made me go to him and have him Say My Name,

if the assumtions end up wrong I would be so very ashamed.

Adele had told me not to continue Rolling In The Deep,

ripping out my heart I could easily call him a son of a beep.

Christina Perri had me search for his little Jar of Hearts,

Cupid made a mistake by targeting my heart with his loved arts.

October 10th, 2011 I put this together when I got to thinking about my last relationship at the time.. it bounced around a lot, and this is how I thought of it in the form of a poem, with attached songs to express every part of the relationship...to view the song title, scroll over the word and click on it, it will bring up a youtube vid of the song.
