Be Together

Be Together

A Poem by E. M. DuBois
"

Another song from a novel I'm writing. I wrote this out of things I was feeling at the time, but I know I'll find a place to work it in. =)

"

Please set me free,
And be together with me!

I see you with her,
Just talking and being together.
You seem like you are having fun,
but I know our love was never undone!

You still write those love notes,
Still thinking those love thoughts.
And I just want to say,
Return to sending those notes my way!

Please set me free honey,
And be together with me.
I need to let you know,
I still love you kiddo!

When you say that you'll be near,
I just can't keep my head clear.
I think about what we could do,
If only I was with you!

I never want our lips to part,
Add my loving to your heart,
I need you to set me free,
and just be together with me!

Take the arrow out!
Make that other girl pout!
I need you to forget her!
I need us to be together!

Take my be my heart and soul,
Your loving has taken its toll.
Please just set me free,
and just be together with me!

And just be together with me!

By the way, this poem was written before me and my soulmate were ever together. Heck, before I even thought of getting together with her.
