His/Her/Our Love

His/Her/Our Love

A Poem by W. Hunt
"

A love poem, ranting mostly about the trap that love is.

"
His/Her/Our Love

Sweet Dangerous Love:
Tis' no wonder your entice.
With promises of kisses on
lips, and happiness eternal.

His sweet dangerous love,
was so bright and lively,
he did not see the lies
she told him.

And hers, a love so
connected and bound,
was so fast in nature,
that he only saw a
fruit to be plucked.

Sweet Dangerous Love,
Shall I compare thee
to a rose?
Beautiful but armed?
Shall I liken thee
to a Venus flytrap?
A carnivorous beast of
nature, named after
your Goddess?

Our Love,
is tangled and knotted.

Our Love,
may never be forgotten.

Our Love,
is just amusement to
the gods above,
and death below.

Our Love,
oh yes, Our Love,
hasn't even begun.
