The Laughing Tree

Inspired by the show Game of Thrones. I wrote a poem about a weirwood called the Laughing Tree, which I would like to think inspired the name of the knight in Harrenhal's tourney.

The Laughing Tree

Do you know the laughing tree?

With bone white bark,

Have you seen the laughing tree?

With ruby red leaves,

Have you seen the laughing tree?

With a smile of horror,

Have you touched the laughing tree?

With a laugh so haunted,

Have you heard the laughing tree?

With iron-blood spilled,

Have you smelled the laughing tree?

With a tale so dark and old,

Do you know the laughing tree?
