AloneA Poem by Vanessa van Gersie
Alone, I sat
rejected by the world, I glanced into a future seemingly unfulfilled My hopes were crashed My dreams rendered desolate It was as if I lacked a companion No! it was because I yearned for one However,I was pushed aside Dirty, too filthy for humankind Through my hurt I laughed, Through my worry I smiled Fading the obvious deterioration with rain drops of yesteryears If only I wasn't alone someone would see the damage my lonely heart entailed but none could see beyond my brave facade dejected I fell into sound sleep and a l o n e I Sat. © 2014 Vanessa van Gersie |
