Preface

This is just the Preface to Bloodline... I know it's short. But, hey, its something, right?

                   Preface

 

   “So, Luke, we can do this the easy way, the hard way, or our way. Which would you prefer?” I asked the werewolf, who was trying to act tough, but was really cowering in front of us.

   “No answer? Hmm, I guess we’ll do it our way then.” I said, when he didn’t answer. I exploded into my wolf form, slower than a normal werewolf could. Well, because I’m not a normal werewolf. I’m a hybrid; half werewolf and half vampire. The only one in existence, as far as I know.

   Mt two best friends are Allie – a full werewolf – and Jess – a full vampire. Despite my ‘mixed origins’, they’ve always stuck by me. They were always at my flanks, in the group that we liked to call the Renegade.

   Harley, are you gonna get on with it, or what? Jess thought to me. As being half vampire, I had mental telepathy, too, like all vampires had. I could also hear the thoughts of other werewolves, and they could hear mine; as long as we were in wolf form, of course.

   I tuned back to Luke, who has also changed into a wolf. I feral snarl tore from my chest, and I stalked towards him. He must’ve gotten over his fears, because his paw struck out and smacked me in the nose. I growled again, lunging at the silver wolf.

This is very short, but a good beginning. May I point something out? I hope this doesn't sound mean, but how you explained this was a little boring. The title is so cool! I really love that part, but this preface [which can or can not be short, so don't fret] is a little boring. I hope I didn't hurt your feelings.
