Dream World #2: Lullaby for the Dormant Queen, part 1

Dream World #2: Lullaby for the Dormant Queen, part 1

A Story by Mike Schmornoff
"

Azriel has to stop an awakening queen and bury an old friend. Can he do it? find out now, in part 1 of the new dream world book.

"
Azriel came down the narrow hallway of his living quarters the morning following the fight with Nebula, only to receive saddening news. "Dream Master," Dream Guide informed, "I have bad news. My father's spirit fell ill on that so-called reverie bus last night. he is no longer with us.". Azriel, shocked as he was, unsteadily replied "Wait. so you can die in the afterlife? There is just so much I need to learn.". "Well," Dream Guide explained, "you're already dead. But in the dream world, you're your own soul. at the center of someone's soul is their spirit. You don't die in the dream world, your spirit just burns out, giving you a longer lifespan before you're forgotten.". Azriel, for all his short time in the dream world, could feel his stomach churning and his heart sinking. He really missed his old mentor. He had only just lost him on his first day. There was nothing left for him to do but keep his silence and show his respect. As he was about to turn and walk away, the maid called from across the hall,
"No! No! This can't be happening! Not yet! Too late? It's only a matter of time! We're all doomed.". "Eh?" Azriel questioned, "what's wrong with her?".  "Oh no!" Dream Guide shouted. The chicken guy screamed in panic.  "Wait a minute," Azriel called out, "I sense what you guys sense. I'm getting a really bad vibe. like someone's waking up, but not someone good. arg, it hurts!". The boy's head ached as he processed what everyone else was processing. Meanwhile, at the far end of that old, run-down, snow-caked street, there was a hill. And at the top of that hill stood a menacing black and red castle. Outside, guards lined the walls, protecting the castle's contents from intruders. Inside the castle was an evil Duchess and her queen. Oddly enough, the queen had her own chamber, where she was suspended in midair with eyes and mouth shut. She could sense entities  in her chamber, but could not see them. She could speak through vibrations. She never ate, and no longer  had such a biological need as she was the deceased soul of a young girl. she could not move either. They called her the dormant queen because she had a tendency to be able to breathe but nothing else. Tonight, if not stopped in time, she would awaken and plunge the dream world into chaos. She was so evil, but love was her one true weakness. she would have an orgasm if she thought of Azriel, because in her past life, she was Azriel's secret admirer. This would spell out the queen's Achilles heal.
