A Poem by Molly
"

Another one from a long time ago.

"

Lying in your lover’s arms

The very stars seem dim

Compared to the shine in their unending eyes

Where you will forever swim

You’ve memorized their face’s trace,

You know their secret vices

You match their footstep, pace by pace

And give trifling surprises

But now the stars shine brighter now

You’ve climbed out of that pool

Their eyes have lost that special glow

And surprises now seem cruel

So now you stand, against the wind

Wishing it’d blow another day

You’re caught up in it’s dreadful spin

As it blows your love away

Now you are cold, no light shines now

And there’re no hidden token

Waiting for you to find them now,

That special bond was broken

You shed some tears, laughter returns

Life seems to sing anew

You notice every shining star

And sweet sweet morning dew

You lie again in a lover’s arms

Blissfully at peace,

And though you know it may end in harm

You are right now so pleased.
