The MonsterA Poem by Silent RavenEverytime I look in the mirror, a monster stares back, crouched behind the thin glass, waiting to attack.
Watching with fierce eyes, curdling my blood, banishing my thoughts, making my heart thud.
Sharp claws aim at my face, itching to get contact, images of its snarling face, turn my vision black.
Gruesome teeth lie in wait, temptation setting in, wanting desperately, to get a taste of my skin.
Everytime I look in the mirror, a monster stares in horrid glee, I shiver everytime, because that monster...
