A city in thunder

A city in thunder

A Poem by TheSick
"

A poem about loss... This is also the first poem I have ever written.

"

Daughter, buried in an arm-fold

Half-limp karma, licking at the back of her hand

Red polka-dot head light, an’…

Something frightening found in the sand

Fairy tales, have laid their waste

In her dormant to rehearse

When after everything to realize

That they were written in reverse

As the mother once revealed:

Sleeping beauty never wakes up…

Or maybe it was in the strange,

That she never could finish anything...”

I never bathed her in the cripple color!

Still…

She hopes that I’ll never be saved

An’ so the survivors, of this city in thunder

Who started to cut on the Moses wave

So now?

…I lie buried to wait for the rain

A city in thunder, confronted again

A poem filled with pathos. The thunder seems to indicate the anger people feel at a death, espeically that of a child. No parent expects to survive their children and the effect can last forever for them. Very ambitious as a first but a worthy piece.
