Curse

Curse

A Poem by Ruqayya Fazli
"

what if the person who claimed to love you the most actually lied to you your entire life?

"
I remember you told me,
When the world was falling apart,
You told me that everything was perfectly alright,
God! Curse my blindness.

When everything burned down on me,
And the heat was eating up my my insides,
You told me that everything I lost could be restored,
Curse me for being so hopeful.

When I was cast out for my grievious deeds,
When I learnt that I was loved by none,
You led me to believe that I was innocent and so very loved,
Curse me for beliving you.

When I was hurt so bad,
And my life had come to it's end,
You told me that I would be okay and that I would never die young,
Then the world just went black.

Curse you for lying to me my entire life.

a lot of depth here, and such aloneness at the end...I just feel profound sadness. Very nice write.

This is an amazing piece of art. I connected right after few lines, even through it wasn't an entire life for me. Beautifully written.
