Words of my fingers

Words of my fingers

A Poem by Seamstress

Words float about my mind

Things I want to say

Things I want to know

But the chains hold my tongue

My fingers take flight

Displaying each of the letters

The words are built

And the words come out

I see the one I want to know

The words stick within

My throat holds them hostage

Cheeks blush the signs of struggle

Do I dare let the fingers fly?

Do I let him know how I feel?

Will the words come out?

Even though my stomach is in knots

The voice can’t do it

Yet now my fingers tangle

The words get jumbled

The emotions all wrapped up

Jumbled words jumble the verses

Messed up verses with uneven lines

The shyness that chains my tongue

Has taken over my fingers now too.

I think you should tell him, though I definitely understand the fear and hesitation to do so. Really well done!
