Going HomeA Poem by Seamstress
The moon, a smiling sliver shining bright,
the stars pin prick the sky with their bright light, meteors race each other through the sky this night. I stood on the porch watching that race, through all of that beauty within outer space, never a pathway that my fingers could trace. You came to me then in the midst of the dark kissing my cheek and touching my heart Your everlasting love in me shall leave its mark With one last touch you left this place You jumped upon a meteor and rode to heaven in the race Upon seeing those pearly gates your eyes blazed The Book sat humbly there with Him thumbing through His eyes look up gentle and his words kindly welcome you Voices of angels welcome as the streets of gold lead you Beautiful mansions of purest love align the street Your led to one of pure Celtic riches and beauty Across the street in a park you see a climbing tree Your humanly body aged and ill revived the moment you got there your eyes brighten huge, you leap for joy, on your cheek a joyous tear Sprinting across the street you have not a care Climbing that tree you race to the highest limb A soft brown leather notebook and pen, a gift from Him Nestled on that branch, because He knows you well On the first page words from our Master and King Words of welcome and love such beautiful writing Your hand begins like the meteors with its racing words flow from your mind in pure beauty Your penmanship perfect even in its hurry as words flow to the paper they create a harmony Your voice begins to read your words in song growing stronger and sweeter as it continues along soon the angels of heaven know the words and sing along My heart hears your song and rejoices with smiles of glee knowing you are happy and healthy writing up in that tree I may miss you but I know you are saving a limb for me. Keep on writing and keep on singing know that in my heart i feel your joyful being i love you my Daniel, my Tattered Teddy, my dancing angelic being. © 2012 Seamstress |
