And Yet We

And Yet We

A Chapter by Seamstress

His hands haven't caressed my skin
My fingers haven't combed his hair
We haven't touched so kind
We haven't looked eye to eye
And yet we feel.

The air we breath is different
The sun shines down at different times
His first star wish is hours before mine
My sunrise is hours later
And yet we know

So far apart it makes no sense
My heart is in pain and he appears
His day is hard and I am there
Explanations are hard and confusing
And yet we sense.

Our lives vastly different
His streets filled with violence and hate
While mine are covered in love and care
A life of wild times compared to the innocence of mine
And yet we love.

This is so powerful and meaningful ... and real. It brings a lump to my throat. It makes me want to cry ... and yet I love you still.
