When I See Your Face...

When I See Your Face...

A Poem by Craig Rozniecki

When I See Your Face…

My eyes light up,
A smile is instant,
I bounce with excitement,
When I see your face,

In a crowded room,
It’s all that I see,
My pulse begins to quicken,
When I see your face,

Thoughts enter my mind,
Romantic images then displayed,
In a dream-like trance,
When I see your face,

Confusion dominates my ponderings,
As a confrontation is made,
Uncertain of what to feel,
When I see your face,

Ripping the heart from my chest,
Stomping upon it as it palpitates,
An agonizing pain is felt,
When I see your face,

In a near empty room,
With only you and I present,
Feeling queasy and saddened,
When I see your face,

Whenever you are near,
Or far away,
Tears fill my eyes,
When I see your face.

About
I'll be honest (like this is something new for me...), I'm not sure what to write here. It's not a singles ads, so even though I like long walks on the beach, I don't see much point in mentioning that.. more..
